Bring the true taste of a New York pizzeria to your kitchen with Frank and Sal's genuine pizza dough. Handmade in the heart of NYC, our dough uses the simple, high-quality ingredients that define the NYC style: premium high-gluten flour, real New York tap water, olive oil, salt, sugar, and yeast. We mix the dough and freeze it immediately. This means the dough arrives fresh and ready for you to thaw, proof, and stretch exactly how you like it.

Why Our NYC Pizza Dough is Different

  • The Water Matters: We use actual NYC tap water. The specific mineral content in our water interacts with the ingredients to create a texture that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.
  • Clean Label: No additives, no conditioners, no preservatives. Just honest ingredients you can trust in your fresh pizza dough.
  • You Control the Proof: Because we freeze it immediately after mixing, you get to control the fermentation. Thaw it slowly in the fridge to develop the flavor profile you prefer. Full Instructions included.
  • Incredibly Versatile: From classic round pies to Sicilian-style pan pizzas, calzones, and garlic knots, this dough works for everything.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare the frozen pizza dough?

Since this dough is not pre-proofed, the thawing process is important. Place the frozen dough in your refrigerator for at least 12 to 24 hours. This allows the dough to thaw and slowly ferment (proof). Before stretching, let it sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours until it rises slightly and becomes soft.

What is the secret to a crispy crust?

High heat is key! Preheat your oven to its highest temperature (500-550°F). Using a preheated pizza stone or steel is essential for transferring heat quickly to the dough, creating that crispy, pizzeria-style bottom.

Can I refreeze the dough?

If the dough arrives partially thawed but still cold to the touch (below 40°F), it is safe to refreeze. However, for the best yeast performance, we recommend planning to use it within a few days of thawing.

Complete Your Pizza Night:
Don't forget the cheese! Our Low Moisture Mozzarella is the industry standard for melting without making your crust soggy.

Quite possibly the best pizza dough I've tasted. What I did learn though is that I lack pizza making skills.

The Dough Is Like Heaven

I moved from NY to TX. You can't get pizza, italian, chinese, and bagels here. I've tried.

This dough is heaven on earth. Before COVID, I bought frozen pizza dough at the grocery store, but since the covid... you can't get it. Finally I gave in and started to search for NY dough.

This is legit. I made breakfast pizza for Christmas. My husband was outside playing with the dogs, and he followed his nose to the kitchen. He was in love with the dough "smell".

I can only order perishable food between December and March because it's otherwise 100+ degrees here.... so I'm trying to calculate how much to order to get me through the year. I'm totally in love with this dough.
