For over 35 years, we have been creating this delicious sausage in Brooklyn. Before that, the recipe was perfected in our Salumeria in Sicily. When you order from Frank & Sal, you are tasting history.

Frank & Sal's Cooking Guide

Storage: Keep refrigerated or frozen at all times. Use within 2-3 days if thawed.

Stovetop (The "Nonna" Way)

  1. Heat pan over medium heat with 6 tbsp of water.
  2. Add sausage, cover, and cook 10–12 mins.
  3. Remove cover, cook 5–7 mins until water evaporates and sausage browns.
  4. Internal temp must reach 165°F.

Oven Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place sausage on baking sheet with ½ cup water.
  3. Bake 25–30 mins, turning halfway.
  4. Broil last 2–3 mins for a crispy skin.

Grilling (BBQ)

  1. Preheat grill to medium-low heat.
  2. Place rope on grill, turning frequently to prevent charring.
  3. Cook for 15–20 minutes depending on thickness.
  4. Internal temp must reach 165°F.
