We pack this item as an 8-pound freezer pack, portioned into four 2-pound packages. We flash-freeze the sausage and vacuum-seal each package to lock in quality before packing it flawlessly in an insulated cooler.
When your cooler arrives, transfer the vacuum-sealed packs directly to the freezer. They will keep perfectly for up to 6 months. Thaw a 2-pound pack in the refrigerator overnight before grilling or roasting. Do not pierce the casing before cooking; keeping the skin intact retains the natural juices and ensures the filling stays securely inside for the perfect snap.
